CSNYC Build Day
§ Agenda
April 17, 2026 · Miami

The day,
block by block.

Eight hours from welcome to wrap. Six and a half hours of working time. Three hours of actual building, split across two sprints. Everything else is the muscle memory the day exists to build.

Total
8 hours door to door
  1. 09:30
    until 09:45 · 15 min
    Whole room
    01

    Brief

Anuj sets the day, the goal, and the kill-is-honorable framing. Short and direct — energy-setting, not information-transfer.

  2. 09:45
    until 10:15 · 30 min
    Whole room
    02

    Kickoff Ritual

Three Builders project their screens at the front of the room and walk through the cold-start setup of their Claude Code projects in parallel — narrating the choices they make. The day opens with the black box of AI engineering being deliberately cracked open.

  3. 10:15
    until 11:15 · 60 min
    Per team
    03

    Discovery — Team Kickoff Meetings

The team's first hour together. The PO walks the team through the spec, the Builder identifies the MVP slice and cut order, the Client Advocate probes scope from the buyer's seat, the Narrator drafts the value prop out loud, the Market Analyst describes the data plan, and the Pricing Strategist drafts the v0.1 business case. The working agreement is locked here. Recorded end to end.

  4. 11:15
    until 12:30 · 1h 15min
    Per team
    04

    Build Sprint 1

Heads-down build toward the proof-of-life milestone: the AI is doing something end-to-end. Builders are in flow; non-builders produce in parallel (comp slides, pricing model, pitch outline).

  5. 12:30
    until 12:45 · 15 min
    Whole room
    05

    Proof-of-Life Walk-Around

Each Builder gets exactly 60 seconds at their station to demo what is currently working. Show, don't tell. Honesty over polish. No prep allowed. Then the room mingles for 10 minutes before lunch.

  6. 12:45
    until 13:30 · 45 min
    Whole room
    06

    Lunch

Open. Food in the room. Conversations from the Walk-Around continue without ceremony.

  7. 13:30
    until 15:15 · 1h 45min
    Per team
    07

    Build Sprint 2

The longest single block of the day. Target: feature-complete and demo-ready. Scope cuts get sharper as time runs short — this is where the Discovery cut list earns its keep.

  8. 15:15
    until 15:45 · 30 min
    Per team
    08

    Polish & Pitch Prep

Builders freeze code — no more changes. Narrators rehearse the pitch on the live tool. Market Analysts and Pricing Strategists hand their slides to the Narrator. The team walks through the demo script once.

  9. 15:45
    until 16:30 · 45 min
    Whole room
    09

    Live Demos

Three teams. Each team gets 8 minutes of demo + 5 minutes of Q&A. The demo must show the live tool — not slides, not a screencast. Narrators deliver. Builders run the tool silently.

  10. 16:30
    until 17:30 · 60 min
    Whole room
    10

    Wrap · Awards · Retro · Commitments

Awards (15 min — every participant votes, no self-voting). Retro (25 min — each team shares one thing that worked, one that surprised them, one they'd do differently). The Commitment Ritual (20 min — each team makes a public commitment to ship within 60 days or kill within 14 days). Both are wins.
